Infrastructure is there! NGC™ gives you control of it.

Next Generation Controller™

A hierarchical System-of-Systems control architecture designed to place existing legacy, current and emerging infrastructure under a unified controller environment. From enterprise and regional command hubs down to states, provinces, cities, neighborhoods, streets, facilities and individual operational units, organizations can create and remotely manage thousands of specialized controllers while preserving one persistent user, data and control environment.

NGC™ Connect

  • EcuAlerta®

CivTAK: stands for the Android Team Awareness Kit - Civilian Use. It is a powerful, free situational awareness and geospatial mapping application originally developed by the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and maintained by the federal government's TAK Product Center

  • iTAK: The official version for iOS (iPhone/iPad). While it lacks some of the heavy plugin infrastructure of CivTAK, it provides core team tracking and mapping.
  • Grid: A fast-growing software-defined communications platform. It unifies situational awareness across Web, iOS, Android, and ATAK, focusing heavily on low-bandwidth mesh and satellite backhaul for first responders and field teams.
  • TROP: A modern tactical awareness platform built specifically to be TAK-compatible but designed from the ground up for easier deployment across both iOS and Android.
  • PubSafe: A civilian emergency management mobile app frequently used by search-and-rescue teams and CERTs. It acts as a highly complementary tracking tool focused on citizen communication and incident response workflows.

  • Grid: A software-defined tactical communications platform designed for frontline responders, medical evacuation teams, and border agents. It unifies command-and-control across Web, iOS, and Android platforms, providing low-bandwidth mesh and satellite connectivity.
  • PubSafe: A civilian-centric, public-safety application used globally by disaster response networks and CERT teams. While CivTAK focuses deeply on complex geospatial data layers and tactical mapping, PubSafe acts as a complementary workflow manager focusing on member coordination, volunteer readiness, and community safety reporting.
  • Esri ArcGIS Field Maps: The gold standard for enterprise-level GIS mapping. It provides immensely powerful data collection, team location tracking, and real-time mapping for large-scale operations. However, unlike the free nature of CivTAK, ArcGIS is very expensive and requires significant technical training.

  • OsmAnd: Widely considered the best non-governmental alternative for deep, internet-free navigation. It allows massive offline map storage, GPX route building, and highly detailed topographical viewing.
  • CalTopo / SARTopo: The gold standard for civilian Search and Rescue (SAR) teams. It offers unmatched layering, custom plotting, and real-time team tracking when connected to cellular or satellite links.
  • OnX Backcountry / Hunt: While tailored commercially for outdoor enthusiasts and hunters, it offers precise property boundaries, offline caching, offline tracking, and waypoint sharing.

Where existing meters, sensors, controllers, or field systems expose data through an approved gateway, API, database, data feed, radio / network interface, or other authorized connection, NGC™ can ingest and route those readings into reporting, alerting, analytics, inspection, and workflow functions.

Water, electric, gas, fuel, or other utility meter readings.

RF / radio-enabled meter data when exposed through a compatible and authorized receiver, gateway, or interface.

Tank levels, flow, pressure, pump status, consumption trends, outage indicators, leak indicators, and other sensor values.

Manual field readings and inspections when direct machine integration is unavailable.

QR-linked asset records, geolocation, photos / video, maintenance history, and corrective-action records tied to the same infrastructure asset.

Army PSC & National-Scale Positioning

For Army Public Safety Communications modernization, NGC™ is positioned as an extension / controller layer for systems already in place - preserving existing investments while adding interoperable control, data, GIS, workflow, field, media, automation, and mission-specific capabilities.

EcuAlerta® is an example of the same System-of-Systems architecture branded for Ecuador, demonstrating how a country-level environment can connect multiple agencies, departments, public services, citizens, responders, data sources, and existing systems through one coordinated controller framework.Capability study - source-grounded; not a head-to-head product comparison.

The NGC™ environment is supported by the underlying dAtoComm™ technology stack. The supplied certification packet documents the following security, privacy, continuity, quality, audit, and data-protection credentials.

Custom Mission Driven Controllers™ in Minutes

NGC™ allows authorized users to create and configure custom controllers within minutes, including while operating in the field.

Photo: showing an example how the NGC™ add's on a NGCC™ controller to the EcuAlerta® system.

NGC™ controls systems, sends alerts, supports panic buttons and SOS, collects field data, runs forms and workflows, preserves the user base, and adds modern capabilities such as geofencing, beacons, SMS, WhatsApp, AI, GIS, IoT, and automation through one unified controller environment.

Replacement Costs

NGC™ is designed to modernize and control existing systems rather requiring their replacement, preserving prior infrastructure investments while  introducing emerging technology.

System of Systems

NGC™ functions as the common control layer connecting otherwise separate systems.

Legacy Systems

The NGC™ controller becomes the persistent point of control while individual systems can be added, replaced, modernized, or retired over time.

MISSION SPECIFIED

A rugged, configurable Next Generation Controller™ designed around the requirements of a specific mission. It connects, controls and modernizes existing communications, alerting and operational systems without requiring wholesale replacement.

Unified Control and Connectivity

NGC™ is designed to coordinate connected machines and facility systems—including sirens, cameras, sensors, drones, robots and vehicles. The dAtoComm™ layer connects data and communications, with AI-assisted support for interpreting incoming information and prioritizing incidents. Together, these layers form the foundation for coordinated operations.

Intelligence and Risk Management

The RMS—Risk Management System—layer supports risk assessment, prioritization and response planning. The proposed CAI intelligence engine adds a dedicated workspace for searching authorized information sources, comparing findings and producing summaries with supporting sources. These capabilities are intended to help personnel assess developing situations and make informed decisions.

Situational Awareness and Response

CivTAK / TAK provides the operational situational-awareness layer, helping field teams share locations and understand activity around them. EcuAlerta® supports communications, public alerts, citizen reporting and response coordination. These layers connect field awareness with community information and emergency response.
